Boot from USB on iBook G3 Clamshell
With the CD Drive not functioning, is there any way of copying the Mac OS X Puma Install CD on an USB.
iBook, Mac OS 9.2.x
It wouldn't work as you can't boot pre Intel Macs via USB connection.
If it has firewire then you should be able to boot from an external drive.
I am not certain you can correctly copy (clone) all the necessary data from the install CD so as to make it work. It also may be illegal to copy an OS installation disk.
